Kirsty McDermott

Hi there, my name is Kirsty & am dedicated to all things health and fitness. Having been in the industry since 2013 I have strived to consistently learn, progress and challenge myself to better help the people I train.

Having trained people from all walks of life over the years – including sports specific coaching for tennis, Ballroom and Latin to Adults & Music programs for children. Training people not only Melbournes Bayside area but also in up in Cairns Northern Beaches, I believe consistency is key (and having a little bit of fun on the way is also helpful) I have helped (hundreds?) people achieve their goals, whether it has been in weight loss/gain, become stronger, feel more confident in a gym environment or simply to move without pain.

I haven’t come from a sporting background myself but grew up seeing both my parents do Karate in the backyard so movement and moving well has always been apart of my life. Completing a Bachelor of Performing and screen arts in 2005 gave me the understanding that just turning up and being prepared is 80% of the goal. The rest is just doing the work you have prepared for.

I am certified in boxing level 1 & 2, Pilates (reformer, pre/postnatal & Mat) strength, group training, community tennis coach and older adults.
